 Dr. Eppley is one of Indiana’s most extensively trained and talented plastic surgeons and host of the Doc Chat radio show. Dr. Eppley received his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis as well as a dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is fully trained in multiple surgical specialities. As a result of his extensive education, Dr. Eppley is both a licensed physician and dentist and certified by the American Boards of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Eppley is a former full tenured Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine where he spent nearly 20 years performing complex plastic surgery operations and in the education of many future plastic surgeons.
Dr. Eppley left the University in 2006 to create his own private plastic surgery practice ( www.eppleyplasticsurgery.com) and to found Ology spas, a unique hospital-based s concept combining eastern ayuravedic therapies with conventional western medicine in the hospitals of Clarian North (Carmel, IN) and Clarian West (Avon, IN) in the surrounding Indianapolus suburban area. ( www.ologyspa.com) He is also co-owner of the Meridan Plastic Surgery Center in Carmel, an outpatient surgical facility dedicated exclusively to cosmetic surgery of the face and body.
Dr. Eppley has prominent international experience in the investigation and development of numerous technologic advances in surgery. He has been the recipient of numerous National Institute of Health and private corporate research grants for the evaluation of promising surgical technologies and implants. As a result, he has been awarded nine U.S. and international patents on biomedical technologies.
He has written 6 books on plastic surgery and contributed over 250 journal articles and 33 book chapters to other textbooks. He is a nationally and internationally sought after speaker on numerous plastic surgery topics. He has given over 200 presentations in 21 countries over the past 16 years.
